Initially started with Politics and Legal studies and a passion I aim to pursue at some stage in my career.
Education, mentoring, and career advisory is my passion amongst all my other attributes. I use my skills interchangeably as a Community Engagement Expert and Intercultural Canning Cultural Ambassador to serve the community at large. On a community level, I’m currently involved in several organisations as a representative, advisor, communication leader, activist, public relations a board member and a Leader in my own community.
I am responsible for several roles and therefore, I assist in coordinating projects for local government, charity events, community development, project managements, supporting organisations in their development. The multicultural community at large has been an amazing experience, the diverse culture of our varied heritage has been such an insight.
Some of my current positions as public relations are; Vice President for Women’s Health Interest at ECCWA, Ethnic Community Council of Western Australia, Youth mentor with the Organisation of African Communities, Youth Leader with the Unity of Ethiopians in Perth, Engagement Officer with the Eritrean Community.
I currently serve on several boards, firstly at ECCWA, Sister Project, Charity Projects, and Dignity. Lastly, as Canning Cultural Ambassador, I’ve been able to support and bring several multicultural communities together by assisting them in their needs and providing necessary resources where required.
As a multicultural ambassador, I enjoy my role and seeing communities unite is the real a pleasure. “Building trustworthy affiliation with communities is an art and requires a genuine personal interest and patience. We all come from a varied life experience, I believe genuine interest and understanding is a crucial ingredient for successful engagement.
Thinks understanding of yourself with the support of a counsellor leads to living a more full life.

I grew up in Kenya after fleeing Ethiopia owing to political unrest. We were refugees in Kenya for five years before moving to Western Australia in 2004. I’ve lived in Australia for 20 years with my parents and younger brother.
